Volunteer with the Eugene and Springfield Holiday Classic: Festival of Trees

Festival of Trees is Cascade Health’s largest and best-known annual event. It’s become a holiday kickoff tradition for families in the Eugene and Springfield, Oregon community, and is held the week of Thanksgiving each year. A multi-day event that raises money to benefit compassionate end-of-life care at Pete Moore Hospice House, Festival offers something for everyone – and takes a lot of help to organize!

Dozens of volunteers join us each year to plan, prepare for, produce and clean up after this holiday extravaganza. If you’re interested in participating, sign up today or contact us for more information.

About Festival of Trees

Cascade Health’s Festival of Trees is an exciting celebration of the holidays and raises vital funding for Pete Moore Hospice House, offering exceptional care and comfort to people at the end of life. Now in its 30th year, the showcase of the event is a tour of more than 30 gorgeous trees decorated by talented designers. There is also a Hall of Wreaths, holiday marketplace, silent auction, craft and cocktail mixer and of course, the Starlight Celebration gala and live auction.

Volunteers Make it Possible

Festival of Trees is a big, fun undertaking, and we couldn’t do it without the amazing volunteers who so graciously donate their time, energy and expertise each year to make the event a success. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please contact us for a shift on our volunteer page. Some of the positions with which we need help include:

  • Procurers to ask local businesses and individuals to donate items, sponsorships or unique experiences

  • Tree designers

  • Crafters to create wreaths and other décor and gift items for sale, as well as decorations and centerpieces

  • Silent auction basket makers to create enticing packages

  • Venue decorating and set-up help

  • Greeters and cashiers to welcome guests, take donations and check out purchases

  • Roving ambassadors to monitor trees, answer questions and help people bid on silent auction items

  • Activity leaders to oversee kids’ crafts and activities

  • Movers to load and unload trucks and deliver trees

  • Clean-up crews
