Manager
Responsible to: Senior Manager of Home Care Services
Hours: 40 hours/Week
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Pay Range: TBD
Job Summary:
Responsible for the 24-hour operation of the Hospice Department in collaboration with the department leadership, including planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating direct and indirect patient care. Assumes major responsibility for day-to-day operational affairs, including the financial health of the Hospice Department. May require delivery of skilled nursing care when staffing requires supplementation. Assumes major leadership role for hospice services. Understands and complies with applicable accreditation and regulatory requirements governing hospice. Maintains a high level of professional expertise and assumes responsibility for professional growth and development. Assures ongoing education to contracted facilities that utilize Hospice services. Assists with marketing of Hospice to the community. Assures Hospice contracts are updated yearly.
Education & License Requirements:
Current Oregon licensure as a Registered Nurse, required.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Two years management experience required, Two years of Budgetary responsibility required. Hospice management experience preferred. Two years’ experience working with the medical and psychosocial needs of the terminally ill or the educational equivalent. Must have valid driver's license and insured vehicle for transportation. Desired skills include: Clinical excellence, leadership abilities, teaching competency, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills. In-depth knowledge of current hospice health care concepts, trends and theories, reimbursement issues, and knowledge in the area of delivery of hospice services. Supportive of the philosophies of Cascade Health Solutions and Hospice Services. Ability to work as a member of a team.

Negotiate terrain and physical obstacles to reach patients.
Organize orientation process for new employees.
Marginal Job Functions:
Answer phones, clerical duties. Assist in moving office furniture, light repairs.
