Gathering of Remembrance

Cascade Health’s Gathering of Remembrance carries on the tradition begun by our former Butterfly Release event: creation of a space for community gathering, collective healing and exploration of the beauty that can be found through grief and loss.

Friday, May 31
5:00 p.m.
Pete Moore Hospice House
4010 County Farm Rd.

On May 31, we’ll come together in the Pete Moore Hospice House gardens to remember the loved ones we’ve lost. Through a reading of names and a fire ceremony, we’ll bear witness to the reality that death brings change - and that, together, we can find healing. You’re invited to join us for music, refreshments and community.

We invite you to share the names of loved ones you’ve lost to be read aloud at the Gathering of Remembrance. During the fire ceremony, you’ll also have the opportunity to write a message of your choosing - the names of those no longer with us, something you’d like to say to a loved one who passed away, or simply an expression of grief - and to place your note in the fire.

There is no required donation to participate, but your suggested $20/person gift helps bring comfort and peace to Cascade Health Hospice patients and families year-round.
