DIRECTION for Employee Assistance

No matter where you find yourself in life you must be able to communicate effectively in order to be successful. Everything that happens in the workplace is impacted by communication- or lack of communication. Organizations are frequently bogged down by “interpersonal mush”. This occurs when people try to make sense of each other without clear, descriptive interactions, defaulting instead to stories that explain what we see and treating those stories as if they were true. In this workshop, we will use the “Crucial Conversations” model, along with other approaches, to help participants improve their skills in active listening and delivering messages in a direct, respectful manner. These tools will increase effectiveness and influence in all relationships, both personal and professional.
