DIRECTION for Employee Assistance
DIRECTION provides prompt evaluations and plans for employees who have had positive drug results on pre-employment, random or suspicion UAs or who have disclosed drug use. There are five certified Substance Abuse Professionals (SAPs) at DIRECTION who can do D.O.T.-approved evaluations, plans, recommendations, and follow-up testing schedules. Non-D.O.T. drug and alcohol evaluations are also available, both for personal information and for employees who need to be in compliance with their employers' drug policies.
DIRECTION'S priority is to support employers' concerns about staffing and compliance, to work efficiently with employees who want to get back to the job, and to be mindful of safety, health and official regulations.
DIRECTION also offers classes in constructing drug policies and about circumstances that are appropriate for workplace testing.
