Center for Healthy Living
Prescription Drug Program
|
Overview
Trained staff help qualified low-income individuals, referred by a physician, apply for no-cost prescription medications from the pharmaceutical companies who manufacture them.
Service we provide
Many people can no longer afford their medications due to the rising cost of prescription drugs. Pharmaceutical companies provide free of reduced cost presciptions to people meeting low-income guidelines and who do not have prescription coverage. These programs can be complicated because each company has varying guidelines and applications are not easily accessed. We can help. If you qualify, we can tell you if your medication is available through a program, assist you with the paperwork, advocate with your physician's office, and follow up with you when it's time to refill your prescription.
Who Qualifies
The specific financial guidelines for each pharmaceutical company can be different, but as a general rule, you will qualify if:
- You have no prescription coverage or you are now in Medicare Part D "Donut-Hole", and
- You are not enrolled in a government program, which provides for prescription medication, such as Medicaid or Oregon Health Plan Plus, and
- You are single earning less than $1650 per month, or married earning less than $2800 per month.
