Wellness Overview – Fruits & Veggies - Popup

PWP popup fruits & veggies

Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables is a proven way of improving your health. They are low in calories, help reduce high blood pressure, prevent heart disease and stroke, and are protective against many cancers. They are also fun to eat! MyPyramid.gov recommends 5 servings of vegetables (2.5 cups) and 4 servings (2 cups) of fruits daily for active adults. Include a wide variety including leafy greens, onions, cabbage family, yellow and orange fruits and veggies, berries, melons, salads, stir-fry, and some raw or fresh items daily.
