
One of the greatest stressors in life is dealing with major life events, such as: loss of job, loss of a loved one, divorce, a business failure, a natural disaster, a major family conflict, or having to cope with a serious illness. Major life events usually occur suddenly and often precipitate an emotional crisis. Recognize that coping with a major life event is going to take time. Get support from family and friends.
