Safety – Sun Exposure - Popup

Sun bathing and heavy sun exposure ages skin and increases the risk for skin cancer. Enjoy the outdoor life with a little protection (i.e., a wide-brimmed hat, long sleeves and other protective clothing or sunscreen) and plenty of water to drink to keep cool. Heat exhaustion, heat stroke, heat cramps, and heat rash are possible with overexertion in heat. Sunshine is beneficial to your health as long as it doesn’t become excessive. Most of the benefits of sunshine occur in the first 10-15 minutes of exposure.
