Safety – Driving Safety - Popup

Motor vehicles are the leading cause of unintentional death for almost everyone under age 45. A little more than half (52%) of fatalities occur on non-interstate roads. Being drowsy and fatigued may be the root cause of many driving injuries. AAA research found that failure to stay within one’s lane accounted for 21% of all traffic deaths. Other significant factors were failing to yield right-of way, excessive speed, and failing to obey traffic control devices and laws – factors associated with aggressive driving. Teen drivers are 4 times more likely to crash than older drivers. Motorcyclist deaths are up among riders without training. Drive safely. Stay alive!
