Osteoporosis – Retionol - Popup

When it comes to retinol, also called vitamin A, enough is enough. Retinol comes from animal sources and actually increases the risk of bone fractures. Another source of vitamin A is beta-carotene. It comes from plant foods and is not linked to increased hip fractures. For bone health, eat whole-plant foods, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and soy.
