High blood pressure has been shown to cause calcium excretion and lead to bone mineral loss. To lower your blood pressure:
- Eat less salt and more food sources of potassium such as fruits and vegetables
- Eat more calcium-rich foods, such as dairy and greens.
Many diets, designed to lower blood pressure, recommends as many as 8-10 servings of fruits and/or vegetables each day, as well as low fat dairy choices daily. |
