Nutrition – Water - Popup

Water is the most abundant substance in the human body. Keeping well-hydrated is important for optimal performance of muscles, your circulation, kidneys, and even your brain (which is over 70% water). Drinking plenty of water helps your body rid itself of unwanted wastes. It also helps reduce risk of kidney stones and bladder cancer. One study showed that people who drink more water (at least 5 glasses daily) have fewer heart attacks and strokes. For best health, aim for at least 5 glasses of pure water daily. Eight glasses is even better. You may need more that that if you live or work in a hot climate.
