Do You Have a Cold, Flu, or Allergies? Quiz

Hope it's just a cold...

Answering a few questions in this quiz can help you quickly determine what type of "bug" has hold of you.

Do you have or are you experiencing ...

2. Runny or stuffy nose

3. Itchy or watery eyes

4. Coughing

5. Sore or hoarse throat

6. Head congestion

7. No or low-grade fever

8. Swollen glands

9. Mild aches and pains

10. Muscle aches

11. Localized pains (for example, the lower back or around the eyes)

12. Fatigue and weakness

If you answered "yes" to any symptom 10 through 19, you likely have the flu. Questions 1-9 can indicate either a cold or allergy.

Contact your healthcare provider if you have additional symptoms, or your symptoms are severe. Viruses that cause colds and influenza can lead to ear infections, sinusitis, bronchitis, or pneumonia.
