Diabetes Risk – Physical Activity - Popup

PWP popup phys activity

Regular physical activity is one of the best ways you can protect yourself against developing type 2 diabetes. If you have diabetes, regular exercise protects you from most of the complications that diabetes brings, such as high blood pressure, abnormal blood lipids, heart disease, and stroke. Exercise decreases the body’s resistence to insulin, reduces body fat, and lowers blood sugar levels. Diabetics who are sedentary are twice as likely to die early as diabetics who exercise regularly.
