Coronary Risk – Mental Health - Popup

High levels of unrelieved stress may contribute to heart disease. One large study showed that people who were under continual stress at work or home had twice the risk of a heart attack. Learning to balance your life with adequate time for rest, relaxation, and recreation is part of a heart-healthy lifestyle. If you are feeling stressed-out, talk over your problems with an understanding friend, colleague, or counselor. Take a stress and coping class. For personal help, contact your employee assistance program (EAP).
